Library/Dining Area

Whether you're a lover of books, or simply love having a place for everything, you'll adore the bibliothèque-inspired alcove. Yet careful planning and efficient design take advantage of high ceilings and allow for maximum footprint. All of the bookcases as well as a lower doored-cabinet have adjustable shelving.

Hidden behind a façade of false books, a bi-fold door opens to reveal an ample coat and storage closet! The closet contains two hanging levels and is large enough to fit a two-drawer file cabinet. Plus, it has a series of utility shelves running up one side. As for the false books: each individual book spine was specifically selected, hand-cut, and applied onto faux shelves in a thematic fashion. Interspersed amidst the bindings are the occaisional vintage bric and brac.

Currently utilized as a library, the space could be used for dining, a study, reception, or any preferred purpose. An antique-brass sconce from Visual Comfort is installed on the end of the bookcase.
